Is this the best view in Dorrigo? New South Wales, Australia

Picture

Dorrigo National Park is is a NSW National Park about 1 hour from Coffs harbour. Or, if like me, you judge distance by proximity to epic bakeries, then Dorrigo national park is 30 minutes from Bellingen, which happens to be home to one of my favourite sourdough and pie bakeries in Australia, Hearthfire.

Dorrigo is located on Waterfall Way, a scenic 185km drive from Armidale to Coffs Harbour that passes through many beautiful national parks that are home to gorgeous waterfalls of varying sizes.

All the up to date info from NSW National Parks can be found here

Dorrigo skywalk gives you a birds-eye view of the national park and surrounding areas, it’s also a fab spot to birdwatch if that is your boogie. The skywalk is 70m long and is located next to the Dorrigo Rainforest centre and Cafe, a great spot to grab cuppa after checking out the skywalk and surrounding hikes.

One of the hikes we did whilst at the park was the Wonga Walk. This is a 7km circuit that passes through lush rainforest, past waterfalls and across a suspension bridge. The loop passes via Crystal Shower Falls, a waterfall that you’re able to walk beneath, it’s pretty spectacular!

Whilst visiting the national park and surrounds we stayed at Dorrigo Showgrounds for $25 for one night, which felt quite pricey given we also had to pay $1 for hot showers, the following night we stayed at Roses Park Rest Area for free!

Also whilst in the area we visited the town of Bellingen, hit the markets and the bakery (as mentioned above) and the Coffs Harbour mountain bike park before heading to the coast.
